The race circuit leads through the town forest park and the town, including its historic centre. One lap is 8.4 km long with an elevation of 180 m. The route is common for all the racing categories.

A team of 3 entrants may also race as a 4-member team.
Only the year of birth, not the exact date of birth is taken into account when determining the age of an entrant. For example, entrants born on 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2000 are both considered as 24-year-olds for the race.

5. 24-km RACE
Individual (without other separation)

• Cashless payment of the entry fee by 31 May 2024: individuals = CZK 500/person – base amount of the entry fee
• Payment of the entry fee in cash at the venue of the race at the time for presentation of the entrants: individuals = CZK 500/person – base amount of the entry fee.
THE ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: race number with the name, one parking place, medical assistance, timekeeping, bike washing, entry to the accompanying cultural programme into the area of the open-air cinema.
6. APPLICATIONS AND PAYMENT
Electronically at the website: www.jihlavska24MTB.cz or in person at the venue of the race.
The amount of an entry fee varies depending on the registration date, in two periods.
The closing dates for online applications and cashless payment of an entry fee in individual periods
• by 31 January 2024 – reduced amount of the entry fee
• by 31 May 2024 – base amount of the entry fee
Online applications and payments after the closing date on 31 May 2024 will not be possible.
The last possibility for registration will be in person in the start area at the time of presentation for the race on 14 and 15 June 2024 – base amount of the entry fee, payment in cash only.
A payment needs to be made within 10 calendar days of registration for the race. If no entry fee is paid within a given deadline, the registration will not be valid and will be deleted.
If an entrant does not take part, the entry fee will not be refunded.
Competitors can order a t-shirt with a race motif for price 200 CZK by electronically applying.
It is possible to order accident insurance for an application. Option of accident insurance – insurance yes/no. Necessary treatment period NTP-D CZK 200. Permanent consequences of an accident CZK 600,000. Death as a result of an accident CZK 300,000. Price CZK 306.

7. RACE ROUTE
The race circuit leads through the town forest park and the town, including its historic centre. One lap is 8.4 km long with an elevation of 180 m. The route is common for all the racing categories. The course will be marked by arrows and a tape. Entrants must ride solely on the marked course. Relay changeovers will take place in the start area in the zone designated by the organisers. An entrant who leaves the course for some reason must return to the same point and continue in the lap. If he/she does not complete the lap and returns from the opposite direction, he/she is obliged to report it to the timing staff.
8. TIMING
The race will be timed by means of chips. Every entrant will receive a chip during the presentation along with his/her race number.
The chip will be read by a timing carpet placed at the beginning and at the end of a timed lap as well as at a checkpoint approximately in the middle of the lap (split time).
Return the chip at the end of the race to the race office.
Timing is provided by Ptime,s.r.o., and current results will be available on its website.
9. RACE RULES
9.1 DURATION OF THE RACE
The start of the 24h race and 12h will be on Saturday 15 June 2024 at 11 am.
The 24h race will last more than 24 hours but no more than 25 hours. This means that a lap that began before the elapse of 24h from the start (i.e. Sunday 11 am) and ended before the elapse of 25 h from the start (i.e. Sunday noon) may be counted as the last one towards the result of an entrant. The race will end no later than Sunday 16 June 2024 at noon. The end of the race may occur earlier if all the entrants finish their last circuit in the range from 11 am to noon.
Analogous, the 12h race will last more than 12 hours but no more than 13 hours. The race will end no later than Saturday 15 June 2024 at midnight.
24 km race – 3-lap time trial with single start. The first competitor will start on Saturday 15 June 2024 at 17:00. Expected end of the race around 20:00.
9.2 START OF THE RACE
There will be a ceremonial mass start of the race from the square on Saturday 15 June 2024 at 11 a.m, and then there is flying entry into the first timed lap (on the grounds of the open-air cinema). All the entrants of the entire (relay) team may take part in the ceremonial start. Those relay participants who will not ride in the first lap will stay in the pit area, and they will not enter the timed section.
The start of the 24 km race is individual (1 min each) from 17:00 from the area of the summer cinema from the area reserved for changing.
9.3 CHANGEOVERS
Changeovers of entrants in a team may take place at any interval but only in the zone designated for that. A changeover is confirmed by a visible touch, e.g. by a slap. Changeovers elsewhere on the course are not possible and will result in disqualification.
9.4 MIXED TEAMS
A mixed team means at least one woman in the team.
9.5 THE SAME RULES FOR ALL RACES
All rules will apply analogously three to all races.
9.6 CHANGE OF CATEGORY
Re-registering entrants and teams during the race for another category is not possible.
In the case that less than 3 teams should participate in a certain category, this category may be merged with another category (e.g. the mixed category will be merged with the men's category).
9.7 MANDATORY EQUIPMENT
It is only possible to race on mountain or trekking bikes in good technical condition.
Entrants will wear protective cycling helmets throughout the race.
Every participant is obliged to use sufficient lighting (white at the front and red at the rear) from 9 pm to 5 am, and the rear light must not be flashing but must only be shining all the time.
9.8 CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
Participation is conditional on the submission of a duly completed and signed application of a participant in the race, without demanding any change or without reservations. By filling in and submitting an application (online registration) or by signing an application (registration at the venue), the participant expresses his/her consent to the conditions of the race and declares that:
- he/she acknowledges that the race takes place in the conditions of full road traffic, and he/she will comply with applicable road traffic rules and will take part in the race at his/her own risk,
- he/she is not aware of any obstacle involving his/her health condition that would prevent him/her from taking part in the race,
- he/she acknowledges that the race promoter is not liable for potential damage to health and belongings unless its fault is proven or unless the promoter took over belongings that were put away for safekeeping,
- the promoter is not liable for damage caused by a participant due to his/her conduct during the race through the race grounds (not only in the start and finish area but also anywhere on the course),
- he/she will confirm the declaration below by his/her signature during registration at the race venue.
DECLARATION OF A PARTICIPANT IN JIHLAVA 24-HOUR MTB RACE
I acknowledge that the race route has been marked out on public roads and the race takes place in normal traffic. I will adapt my behaviour on the course to this fact to prevent accidents and damage to property. The promoter has acquainted me with possible risks on the course. Throughout the race I will be following road traffic rules, rules of the competition and instructions from the organisers. I will take part in the race at my own risk and I will not lodge any claims with the promoter arising from liability for damage incurred directly in connection with the race unless such liability has been arranged with the promoter beforehand.
We recommend that those interested in participating in JIHLAVA 24-HOUR MTB races should conclude an insurance contract to this end and undergo a medical examination before the race.
Entrants aged from 16 to 18 years may only take part with the written consent of their legal representative, and only provided that their legal representative is present throughout the race.
9.9 THE FOLLOWING IS ALLOWED DURING THE RACE
Serving of refreshment in pitstop or official catering.
It is permitted to repair bikes both in the pits and on the course. Entrants are allowed to replace an entire bike during the race.
After the completion of a timed lap, relaxation before commencing another lap.
9.10 THE FOLLOWING IS NOT ALLOWED DURING THE RACE
Taking shortcuts on the course in any way is prohibited and will be penalised by disqualification from the race.
A participant that is pushing his/her bike must clear the track for a participant who is riding a bike. A slower participant is obliged to clear the track for a faster one.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.
Throw away the packaging of energy bars, empty bottles etc.
Only participants who are racing at the moment and who are appropriately marked may pass through checkpoint gates. The designated area around the checkpoint gates is a strictly forbidden zone for all the other participants, and their movement in this area may result in disqualification.
To use electronical devices with aerphones during driving.
9.11 WITHDRAWING FROM THE RACE
An entrant (team) may withdraw from the race at any time. When this happens, the entrant (team) must inform the timing staff and race organisers of it without delay. If they meet the conditions for being ranked, they will receive an official result.
9.12 SUSPENSION OR EARLY TERMINATION OF THE RACE
The race may be suspended or interrupted as a result of extremely bad weather or emergencies, about which the promoter will decide. In the event of early termination of the race for the abovementioned reasons, the entrants are not entitled to demand a refund of the entry fee!
If the race is suspended, all the entrants must complete the lap and their time and laps will be recorded.
If the race then resumes, the entrants will start again based on the difference of their times clocked up on finishing. Entrants who were suspended in the pits will depart with the first entrant at the moment of the restart.
If the race is terminated prematurely, the placings at the moment when the course was closed will stand.
9.13 DEALING WITH TECHNICAL PROBLEMS ON THE COURSE
If an entrant wants to continue in the race despite having technical problems during a timed lap, he/she is obliged either to complete a commenced lap in the direction of the race (the lap will count towards the sum total), or return against the direction of the race. If an entrant returns in the opposite direction, he/she is obliged to report this immediately to the timing staff, and this lap will not be counted towards his/her sum total.
9.14 CONDITIONS FOR BEING RANKED IN THE 24-HOUR RACE
Only those entrants will be ranked who will complete at least 3 laps. This duty also applies to each member of a team.
An exception to the three-lap rule for a team member applies in the event of an injury of an entrant (member of a relay team).
9.15 EVALUATION, AWARD CEREMONIES, PRIZE MONEY
The entrants will be evaluated based on the laps they have covered. In case of an identical distance, the faster finish time will prevail.
The first three places in a category will be announced.
Three places of the overall absolute ranking of individual categories, men and women, is announced. According to them, price money will be allocated.

9.16 RESULTS LIST
The results list will be put up in the finish area no later than 30 minutes after the end of the race. Protests against results of the race may be filed within next 30 minutes of the puting up of the results in the given category against a deposit of CZK 500. The results will be considered final once the results list is signed by the main organiser. Later objections and complaints will not be accepted.
9.17 PROTESTS
Protests may only be filed by entrants (skippers), registered assistants or organisers of the race.

Appendix to the race schedule and instructions ACCOMMODATION
The centre of the race together with the place of accommodation is at this address:

The centre of the race together with the place of accomodation is situated on premises of town’s open-air theatre with an adjacent large grass area and an athletic field. The area is located in the centre of Jihlava, in the wooded park Heulos and the Jihlavka valley.
In the area of the open-air theatre there is:
1. the office of the race (the place for registration)
2. the place of the end of a timed lap
3. the place of the start/beginning of a timed lap
4. the zone for changeovers of participants in a team (between the end and the start of a timed lap)
5. refreshments/catering
6. location of timekeeping/timing
Information about the camp/pitstops:
The large grass area and the athletic field adjacent to the open-air theatre are designated for the camp. The whole camp is going to be divided into individual pitstops. The area of each pitstop is 3 by 6 meters (18 square meters). A part of the race route is going to lead through this large grass area with the pitstops (as seen red in the picture below). The layout and numbering of the pitstops can also be seen in the picture below.
One pitstop is available either for:
• an individual
• a 2-member team
• a 4-member team
Registered participants with paid entry fees will be able to reserve individual pitstops. Updated information about availability of the pitstops will be posted on FB, or on the website. Reservation of pitstops can be made through e-mail only: jihlavska24mtb@centrum.cz

For participants arriving without camping equipment, we will prepare a furnished pitstop (tent, chair, table, electricity). We assume that there will be no more than 30 such pitstops. We reserve places B3 to B32 for it. These pitstops are subject to a fee/charge and it is necessary to book it at the time of your registration process.
Information about parking:
Cars are not permitted to drive on and/or park on the grass area. Parallel parking is permitted on the tarmac road. There are also designated parking spaces for angle parking.
Because there is a limited number of parking spaces on the premises (around the camp/pitstop area only) – there are only 150 car parking spaces and 20 camper/caravan parking spaces- there is a parking fee/charge. It is not allowed to park on the premises without the parking permit (without the parking permit you will be asked to park on the streets outside the premises). Nevertheless, all participants are allowed to drive onto the premises and unload/load their equipment free of charge.
It is not possible to reserve a certain parking space ahead (you will be assigned a parking space by organizers upon your arrival), but it is necessary to book your parking at the time of your registration process.
Practical information:
The closest international airports are Vaclav Havel (Ruzyne) airport in Prague and/or Vienna international airport. Depending on traffic the distance from Prague to Jihlava is about 2 hours, and from Vienna to Jihlava it is about 3 hours.
The entrance onto the premises is from the ‘Na Stoupách’ street which leads pass the football stadium on your left, straight on to the camp/pitstops site - the organizers will direct you on from there (marked red in the picture below).
